New York Mets pitcher Kyle Hendricks has been named the National League Cy Young Award winner for his 10th straight season.
Hendricks recorded a 2.45 ERA, a 1.06 WHIP and a 2-0 record with 11 shutouts as the Mets posted a 10-0 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night.
The Mets’ victory also included a game-winning hit by Giancarlo Stanton.
The team also scored seven runs in the seventh inning on a single by Jose Reyes.
Hinds, who has won seven straight Cy Young Awards, has a 2:19 ERA and 1.09 WHIP in 12 starts since being named to the National Leaguers roster in 2012.
